The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed in regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services point created for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
